Life Life's road had directed me to the place I am at now. I finally decided to clean out my old, dusty, dark closet. Man, do I feel great! My career, if you can call it one, has treated me well. I have been a part of the Anheuser-Busch family for the past 29 years and still going strong. I was lucky enough to work in various departments and have met lots of great folks. It all began in 1980 in Newark, NJ near the airport. There were lots of nice people and also a few jerks along the way. I was offered a transfer to Georgia in late 1994, which I gladly accepted. Fourteen years later, (2009) I am still employed with AB and working in the store room/ receiving department. Now the company is owned by a European conglomerate called Inbev. The new name of our company is called Anheuser Busch InBev. Lots of changes took place and many cost reductions. Luckily, we are unionized and for now, we are protected until 2014. After that, hold on to your pants! Getting back to my story, after getting through the culture shock of the south, (Georgia) I adjusted to my new life with each passing day. Although it took some retuning of my ears to be able to understand the new sound of the southern rednecks. I can now call it home. For the most part, daily life is the same as in Jersey.
